[Real Life] Hell has frozen over

For those who know me best know that I don't read books. I hardly read anything at all with the only exception being the Bible. anyhow I was at target with Kelly and Zach today and I happened to come across a book called "Bringing Up Boys" by Dr. James Dobson. in a nut shell the book is about turning boys into men by " advice and encouragement based on a firm foundation of biblical principles." this book looks like a good read.. and if its going to help me raise up Zach, then I will force myself to make time. ill post a review of this book when I finish it, however it may be a long while. (I read very slow)

Dante, I read the book about 2 years ago. I enjoyed it. It had some good stuff in it that was specific to boys (like how to deal with a teen boys sexual apetite). However, the first section of the book focused on why America was failing in bringing up their boys and why things like the woman's lib movement helped confuse matters. I could have done without this part. Not that I disagreed, but I didn't need to be proven why I needed help raising my boys. I just wanted to know how to do it. You know? Anyway...if you can make it past that part, it was pretty good. Although, I would recommend "Successful Christian Parenting" by John MacArthur. It was a much easier read and it had a chapter on father's that was very convicting. Good stuff!
